2022 Very Peri

Color of the Year: Very Peri. The rules are simple.
  1. You must use at least some periwinkle fabric in your quilt.
  2. Your quilt should be approximately 24” x 24”
  3. Let your creativity flow
The guild has purchased a bolt of Andover’s Century Solid, “Periwinkle,” to get you started. We will be handing fat quarters out to anyone who is interested in participating at the February meeting. If you are unable to attend and would like a fat quarter, please reach out to Katie and she will coordinate pick up or delivery.

2021 Upcycle challenge

The theme 2021 for our guild challenge is UPCYCLE / CREATIVE REUSE. It’s easy to be green when you recycle textiles that you no longer wear or want.

Size: 24” wide by 24” long, and up to 30” wide x 36” long

At least 80% of the fabrics you use must be “scavenged” (see list of examples of scavenged items below). The remaining 20% can be solid fabrics from your stash. Consider backing your quilt with scavenged fabrics as well!

You can work individually, or collaborate with other quilt guild members and submit your challenge as a team.

2020 Stripe Challenge

For 2020 Guild members who choose to participate incorporated stripes into their creation.
  • Striped fabrics and/or made stripes
  • Size:  24 inch OR up to 30x36 for a child-sized quilt
  • Designed and created by individual member OR in collaboration with another Guild member.
